"We were fortunate enough to have our child attend 4 months of play therapy with our 4-year-old son, which was a truly transformative experience. Kerri is warm and friendly and immediately met our child where he was at and was able to build connection quickly. Within just a few short weeks we had noticed a huge change in his ability to label and express his emotions, as well as his increased ability to try new activities and and sustain his concentration for longer periods. Our home life has improved significantly, and his kinder teachers have also seen a huge improvement in his confidence, engagement, and connections with his peers. The progress we have seen in our child since beginning therapy with Kerri has been beyond what we expected, particularly in his increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and enhanced communication skills.
I recommend Kerri to any parent seeking a skilled and compassionate play therapist and we’re very grateful for the positive changes I’ve seen in our son's overall well-being. Jess"
“Kerri worked with my 7-year-old son for 6 months. It didn’t take long to establish a strong connection and Kerri really worked on fostering a relationship built on trust. Each week he would be excited to go see his friend and play with her “really fun toys”. What I saw as a parent was that Kerri quickly became an outlet and safe space for him to explore and test the boundaries. It gave him the opportunity to learn how to be challenged safely and acknowledge the feelings that he had as a result. Kerri has a gift of building trust that allows a child to then open up and build new skills. I have seen significant improvements in my son's patience, ability to lose with dignity, and name his emotions in a way that allows him to control them better. Victoria “
"Our GP recommended play therapy for our 4-year-old daughter who had hit a roadblock on her toilet training journey. Kerri worked through play therapy with her, building a strong and professional relationship which our daughter thrived on. We have jumped the hurdles we came to see Kerri about, and our little girl has improved in her self-confidence and her anxiety levels have decreased. Kerri is a great play therapist, and we'd highly recommend her services to anyone who is considering the process." Tess & Phil
"Kerri worked with my son who is diagnosed with ADHD for 6 months. Her warm and gentle approach made it very easy for him to quickly connect with her and they developed a really lovely bond. Kerri always made sure that my son was greeted and accepted exactly where he was at that moment, no matter how chaotic the day had been, or how dysregulated he was on arrival. Kerri created an environment that ensured my son naturally felt safe and knew the play room was his space to play out what he needed to - whether is was loud, with lots of banging, crashing and laughing, or very quiet lego building. We've absolutely seen improvements in his emotional regulation, particularly in how he copes with disappointment or changes to plans. Kerri will make a wonderful addition to your child's life, we highly recommend!." Sophia
"Our 5-year-old had play therapy with Kerri on a weekly basis for 10 months. He started as an anxious kinder boy who did not communicate verbally with most adults and had trouble recognising and regulating emotions. He has become a talkative, confident boy who loves to play and learn and is increasingly able to talk about what he feels and needs. Kerri is knowledgeable, caring and accepting. While helping my son flourish, she also helped guide us and make our journey as parents easier. I highly recommend play therapy and Kerri's services." Mabel
